Barney has led TMM since 1983 and is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the BVI yachting industry. Over four decades, he transformed a mixed fleet of sloops and trimarans into one of the Caribbean's leading catamaran-focused operations, introducing the first charter catamarans to the islands in 1989.
His philosophy of "pride of ownership" maintenance and straightforward, transparent business practices still defines how TMM operates today. With deep technical expertise and an instinct for what works on the water, Barney continues to shape the company's long-term direction.
Fun Fact: Barney first won the BVI Spring Regatta in 1987, and most recently won again in 2026.
